WMA MISSIONS TRIP RECAP

The WMA Ministry Team just returned home from our profoundly successful mission trip to Nepal. The WMA team had some of the most remarkable and blessed experiences of their lives. We all gained so much from our experiences, which include:

  • Preached and taught Christ in 18 different churches, including house churches and remote village churches
  • Inaugurated and dedicated a new church construction that we call the “Chicken Coop Church”
  • Inaugurated and dedicated a new church construction in western Nepal
  • Hosted two very successful pastors meet and greet sessions, one in Tikapur and one in Kathmandu
  • Distributed and gifted free of charge 36 Fire Study Bibles, to pastors and church leaders
  • Fed over 1,000 meals at eight different church locations to individuals that attended our endeavors
  • Baptized 16 new believers in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
  • Distributed and gifted free of charge 120 Bibles to new believers in Jesus Christ
  • Gifted eight new fans for “the Chicken Coop Church”
  • Gifted (free of charge) the following farm animals: a pair of water buffaloes (male and female) for breeding and working in the rice fields; 10 goats and 9 pigs
  • Gifted (free) 18 heavy-framed bicycles
  • Gifted (free) heavy-duty manual sewing machines (part of our Sewing for Hope ministry)

At every church we visited, handed out candy and soccer balls to the children. Blessed many pastors with financial offerings!

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this trip possible. We cannot thank you enough for your generous donations, as well as all of your prayers and support, which enabled us to take advantage of this opportunity! Every little bit counted and we felt every prayer working with us.

You helped make our mission journey that much more powerful and possible! In this way, you, too, are a missionary. If you have a chance, we would love for you to read some of our past reports, which have been recently added to our Facebook page and will be added to our website, so you can find out more about Nepal Mission Trip 2025.

As the executive director of WMA, I appreciate teamwork—when Disciples of Christ from the United States, Nepal, India, and the United Arab Emirates can gather and work together as the body of Christ to accomplish the will of the Father.

“Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success.”

Teamwork is all around us in life. We see it in marriages, businesses, neighborhoods, churches, etc. God loves to see Christians working together submitting to His will.

Thank you for praying for and supporting World Missions to Asia!

Study Bibles are an incredible tool that Christians can use to better understand God’s Word and to dive deeper into their faith. There are many different types of study Bibles with countless features to enrich the reader’s experience. We are going to look at the Fire Study Bible and break down the benefits of incorporating this tool to study the Bible.

One of the reasons many people struggle to understand the Bible is due to a lack of context. The stories in the Bible are from thousands of years ago when life looked very different. It can be difficult to keep this in mind when reading, but fortunately many study Bibles include lots of background.

These are just five of the many features the Fire Study Bible offers to enhance your knowledge of God’s Word:

  1. Each book of the Bible includes extensive book introductions to give you background information and so much more.

  2. Trust me when I say that you are going to love the extra notes to help you understand the scriptures even more. The focus on the Spirit, Pentecost, and being set apart from this world are so important and vital for daily living.

  3. Maps and charts. Maps help us see distance, terrain, and borders of nations. These details are important for understanding the journeys so many people in the Bible took, including Jesus himself. Charts are a great way to display information in a different, more visual way. The Fire Bible includes many maps and charts to deepen your understanding of the geographical context.

  4. Cross references — verses and passages in the Bible that echo other verses in Scripture. References encourage the reader to see the Bible as one continuous story, instead of a collection of fragments, and point out connections you may not have noticed. This feature allows for a better grasp of biblical themes to enhance your Bible study.

  5. Study Bibles are filled with notes that offer more explanation about the Scriptures. The notes provided in The Fire Study Bible give cultural and historical context in order to help the reader understand difficult passages and big theological ideas. Notes also highlight important takeaways to help guide your study. When we understand the Word, we can live it out better.

Study Bibles are resources that encourage us to grow in our Biblical knowledge and thus enrich our faith. Using the features provided in these bibles are great ways to learn and gain a more complete understanding of the Word of God.

Mission Trip Strengthens in many ways...

I’m excited to tell you about my recent mission trip to Nepal with my friends and fellow laborers, Bros. Fred Wynn and Josh Horn. I really felt like we were living out something similar to the apostle Paul’s missionary journeys as we ministered in 18 different churches, dedicated two new churches, and baptized 16 new believers.

My basis for this statement is found in Acts 15:41 and 16:5, where you see the words confirming and established. The definitions of these two words are very similar, meaning to “make firm” or to “strengthen.”

I truly believe that there are at least 18 churches, probably 100 pastors, and over 2000 believers in Nepal that are much stronger because of the ministries of WMA.

They were strengthened financially through a variety of gifting. We gave bicycles to pastors, thus improving their ability to tend to their flocks. The farm animals and improved water access through hand pumps gave them a higher quality of life and greater financial stability. One of my favorites was passing out candy and soccer balls to the children. If utilized properly, these gifts will have a permanent impact on the individual believers as well as the churches they are a part of.

They were also strengthened spiritually in several ways. The gifting of Bibles to church leaders and Study Bibles to pastors is one. The anointed preaching of the word of God is another. Many encouraging words were spoken as well. Meals were provided by WMA after every church service, giving us a blessed time of fellowship with pastors, laity, children, and families.

I believe that all of this made a huge impact on the churches there.

Finally, I would like to give a very big heartfelt thank you to all who supported us throughout this mission trip. Your financial support made it possible.

Your prayers were crucial to its success. Most people don’t get to look behind the scenes and see the incredible team of missions coordinators, translators, and pastors that make it all happen, but they are worthy of much thanks.

Whatever part you played, the reaping will be tremendous. Most of all, thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I’ll let you look that up) for a mission trip that was worthy of the book of Acts!

THANK YOU!

Thank you for your generous gift to World Missions To Asia. Your support is making a real difference in reaching lives with hope, compassion, and the message of Christ.

We deeply appreciate your heart for missions and your partnership in this vital work.

May God richly bless you for your kindness.
